Okay, so a slight change in working location. We are actually going to be in a town named Oradea, Romania. It is significantly larger than Beius, but so is the need. The population is a combination of Hungarian, Romanian, Gypsy and then a few others mixed in. Apparently the Gypsy population is getting bigger so that should be interesting :) Oradea is also known as a "crossroads" for trade routes.

We will be starting the construction of a duplex. I am looking forward to getting in on the "ground floor" of this opportunity, ha ha.

More to follow later.

BEIUS is a small town of 12,000 inhabitants
located in the northwest of Romania`s Bihor
county, near the Romanian-Hungarian border.
The town is located in a beautiful valley with
many villages surrounded by wonderful mountains.
Beius has a rural aspect and one should
not be surprised to see a wagon with horses
crossing through the town. Thursday is market
day in Beius. The population of the town doubles
this day. The whole valley comes to the
town market to buy or sell or just to meet other
villagers using this opportunity for socializing.
Beius is known as a main cultural and educational
centre of Transylvania with its 174-yearold
high school.

Beius or Bust

Well, about a month and a half out from the trip. The fund raising has commenced and I am so blessed to have such generous friends and family. Through your generosity, many lives will be touched, as mine has been already.
